Data Processing Policy
How MediaSafe collects, uses and protects data. Version as of 06.07.2026.
1. What data we collect
The MediaSafe snippet installed on a client's site collects technical signals about each visit:
- Device and browser parameters (User-Agent, screen resolution, canvas/WebGL support)
- Behavioral metrics (mouse movement, scroll, timing — without recording page content)
- Network data (IP address, country, autonomous system/ASN)
- UTM tags and ad click identifiers (yclid, gclid), if the visit came from an ad
MediaSafe does not collect visitors' personal data (names, emails, phone numbers), does not read the content of the client's site pages, and does not track user behavior outside the site where the snippet is installed.
2. How we use the data
The collected technical signals are used exclusively to estimate the likelihood that a visit was made by an automated program (a bot) rather than a human. The result — an anonymized verdict (clean/suspicious/fraud) — is visible only to the site owner in their dashboard.
3. Storage and protection
Data is processed and stored on servers within the EU. Access to a specific site's data is limited to its owner (password authentication, data transmitted over HTTPS).
IP addresses identified as fraud sources may be stored in the client's blocklist for later export to their ad accounts (Yandex.Direct, Google Ads) with the client's explicit consent via OAuth connection.
4. Sharing with third parties
MediaSafe does not sell or share collected data with third parties, except where required by law, or with technical subcontractors that support the infrastructure (hosting, email notifications), bound by confidentiality obligations.
5. Cookies
The mediasafe.cc website and the app.mediasafe.cc dashboard use only the minimal technical cookies required for authentication and language preference. No advertising or tracking cookies from third parties are used.
6. User rights
A site owner may at any time request deletion of the data collected for their site, or full deletion of their account, through the contacts listed on the Contacts page.
7. Policy changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always available at mediasafe.cc/privacy.
